Anderson Island

The "T-Gang" got together last week for double celebrations: to enjoy the hospitatlity of the Browns upon completion of their "get-away" home on the island. Anderson is one of the southern-most islands in Puget Sound. It is small and very undisturbed. The other reason was to honor Lee and Roger White as they leave for a 6-month temple mission to Nauvoo!
This is an old pier alongside the ferry landing

We toured the whole island on backroads (the only kind!), and the following photos are of one of the original homesteads, from about 1850. I think nothing has been done since the family vacated who-knows-how-long-ago.

I got up really early one morning to walk through the woods about 2 blocks to a litte lake. I missed the sunrise by just a few minutes! Phooey. Still, it was so quiet, with just me and the ducks.
