SPECIAL FAMILY DAY IN MAY

I always forget when I post here that the "first set" becomes the "second set", and visa/versa. So the following 5 shots here should come after the introduction about our family gathering. Just read on...
Here is Keegan, offering Music in the Park. We were all so relaxed.

Dakota manages a melting ice cream sandwich pretty well!
Amanda doesn't know there is a Grandma under-cover photographer near by.
And Andrew and Leslie are also unaware that the camera is quite a distance away - they ponder (and chew on grass) as they watch Griffin open his gifts.
On our way home, Gpa and I stopped at Snoqualmie Falls, having heard they are at a real high because of snow melt-off. The water on the brink does not usually cover from rock cliff to rock cliff, and the rebounding water and foam are reaching back up to half the height of the falls.

SPECIAL FAMILY DAY IN MAY

Today, the 18th, the ones in this photo were together in church for 2 special ordinations: Caleb, and Keegan! We were missing 5 family members, but we still filled the photo frame nicely!

Ideal weather at last, so we held Griffin's 10 birthday celebration in Rhododendron Park, in Kenmore. Amazingly, his dessert of choice, ice cream bars, held up in the cooler until we had finished lunch!
Caleb and Nikki - lookin' guhd in shades!
Our ideal place in the shade, surrounded by rhodies in bloom. At the park, we added Leslie and Andrew, but we still missed Jessica, Brett and Lynda!

THE SWEETEST FACE OF ALL

I have just posted a bunch of zoo photos from last week when Amanda and I went to Woodland Park. My metering was off here, so A is too blown-out, but I like the subject here where Mr. Lion seems almost to be saying, "Ouch! You're poking my eye."

PESTERING THE KIDS AT A TRACK MEET

Exlusive photos! You will never see Tori on film at a track meet again! She is certain that being rooted on by family members jinks/jinkses? her participation. Could be true, so we will honor that. Both Tori and Carter were invited to represent their High School in League competition, placing among the top 8 from all schools in their sports. Here, Tori relaxes after her discus throws where she did not better her personal best.

But it is over now, so why not enjoy hanging with team members?
Carter actually relaxes before his throws.
Getting "set" with his shot put.
A true athlete, concentrating on the mark.
So track season is now over. Dick and I were commenting that every time we attend a meet, it is cold and pretty miserable for the spectators. Even now in May, no sun to warm us as we watched.

Tori turns 15; family celebrates!

Victoria Paige Howell has a family birthday party! Here, she ponders her wish before blowing out 15 candles.

These are random candid shots. Caleb joins us on way home from WSU. With Becky; one of many hugs shared all 'round.
Amanda ponders her massive bite of strawberry shortcake
But not for long! It fits yummily!
I caught Leslie and Andrew just before they left. Sorry about the shadow on one whole side of your head and neck, Andrew!
